It should, you're not leaving your state are you? I'm sure TMobile has towers there. Maybe if you were going overseas

It should, mine did when I was there and when I was in south padre a few months back. Service gets a bit spotty once you get into mexico. If I remember correctly it switched from EDGE to gsm when I was in mexico
