Simple answer, yes it is a possibility. However, when you apply you can select three choices for which region you would like to be posted in. Each region encompasses at least 1 to 2 Border Patrol sectors. Each sector has several stations. A job offer will be to a specific station and sector. If you are presented a job offer and that offer is for your 2nd or 3rd choice, you may turn it down and not be removed from the applicant pool. If you are offered your first choice of region (notice I didn't say station), and you decline that offer, then you are removed from the applicant pool. The region encompassing Corpus Christi spans as far west as Laredo Sector. So, you could be offered a position in Hebbronville, Laredo (north or south), Rio Grande City or Falfurrias; just to name a few. The Border Patrol has assigned interns to Corpus Christi, but it is a small station and the intern assignments there are rare and very few. The best bet to get to Corpus Christi is the Voluntary Relocation Program or promotion. Agents that have completed their probationary internship can apply for voluntary relocation to the station of their choice. The relocation is not guaranteed though. There has to be an open slot at the station to which you apply and then you will compete with other agents that have applied for transfer.
